On Saturday 21 September we will hold what will be the sixth meeting of the online basic course “Your Tiny House – from dream to reality”. We organize these meetings four times a year to support online classes. Every time we choose a different theme, invite a guest speaker or organize an information market like last time. This time we would like to highlight the perspective of the municipality.

I am pleased to announce that this time we have found Yvonne Metselaar from the municipality of Heemskerk willing to give a presentation. Yvonne has been a major driving force behind the realization of the Tiny House pilot project in Heemskerk and can tell a lot about the experience that the municipality has gained. For Tiny House initiators, it is important to also hear the side of the municipality, to understand which factors and interests a municipality must take into account and which processes must be followed. Every municipality is different, but Yvonne understands that and can provide our students with valuable tips. This will help you in your contact with your municipality!
In addition to Yvonne’s presentation, Monique and I will provide an update on current developments in the Tiny House movement as usual. There is time for the “M&M Question Time” and there is also time to meet and share experiences while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea and a biscuit.
The course meeting in June was well attended, the “tiny” information market was a great success!
